Many have described how Dorje Shugden helped them gain wisdom, improve their finances, heal from illnesses, overcome paranormal or black magic issues and various other miracles. But for me, Dorje Shugden’s puja and prayers helped me find my best friend, my dog Snoopy.
About a year ago, I had one of the most stressful days of my life, the day Snoopy went missing. Ever since he was a puppy, I would let him out to the garden twice a day, in the mornings and evenings. He would play for around 30 minutes before I called him back indoors.
Snoopy is a very obedient dog and I never need to call him more than twice before he comes running to me. However, on that day, something seemed wrong. I called out to him more than five times and yet there was no sign of him. His lack of response worried me, so I quickly rushed out of my house and realised that Snoopy was missing from the garden. My mind went blank and for a moment, I had no idea what to do. Thoughts tumbled through my mind. Was Snoopy dognapped? Was he okay? Would I ever see him again?
I woke all my housemates and asked them to help me search for Snoopy. It was early in the morning and they only had a few hours before they had to go to work, but they were very kind and quickly went out to search for our missing housemate, Snoopy. Some of us searched the house while others searched the garden. We soon found that there was a small hole in our gate and concluded that Snoopy must have escaped through there. Unfortunately, my housemates and I had to clock-in for work and the search for Snoopy was postponed.
During lunch hour, my store manager Albert asked me if there was something wrong as I looked worried and anxious. I told him what had happened and that Snoopy was still missing. Albert comforted me and told me not to worry as Snoopy might return home on his own. I doubted that though. How could Snoopy return to the house on his own? He was an indoor dog, unused to the outside environment and he was not street smart. I was so worried that he would get hit by a car or attacked by larger dogs while he was running around out there, defenceless.
A few minutes later, Albert told me that he had found a sponsor for a Dorje Shugden puja for Snoopy’s safe return. Also, given the urgency of the situation, the puja was performed immediately and completed by 3pm. I was so touched by the kindness of the anonymous sponsor and the puja team. Knowing that a puja was being done for Snoopy eased my mind as I had great trust and faith in my Protector.
Once my shift was over, I rushed home to look for poor Snoopy, thinking that he would be wandering around by himself, hungry and afraid. As I got closer to home, I noticed flyers pasted around the neighbourhood. I thought that another dog had gone missing and since I was going to look for Snoopy, I could keep an eye out for this other dog as well. With that in mind, I got down from my car and reached out for the flyer only to realise that it was a picture of Snoopy!
I couldn’t believe my eyes! I never thought I would be able to find Snoopy so easily. It is so rare for others to help a lost dog, what more print out flyers and paste them around the neighbourhood. I quickly dialled the number on the flyer and profusely thanked the person who saved Snoopy. If it wasn’t for this kind stranger, Snoopy may have been injured, killed or wandered so far away that it would have been almost impossible to find him.
I truly and strongly believe that it was Dorje Shugden who helped Snoopy meet such a kind rescuer and then helped me find him. I wanted to share my true story because I have received Dorje Shugden’s compassionate help and I want to pay it forward so that others too may find great comfort in his blessings. Trust Dorje Shugden all the way. Dorje Shugden helps us in more ways than we expect.
