Oracles are intermediaries between the deities and humans, and are the channel through which the deity speaks, gives advice, heals, teaches (in the case of Dorje Shugden) and has communion with lamas and practitioners.
Dorje Shugden oracles play an important role in Tibetan Buddhism from recognising incarnations of highly important lamas to giving advice in critical situations, for instance when helping the present Dalai Lama escape from Tibet in 1959 against very difficult odds.

Posted on October 17, 2016 #1 AuthorAs a kid, i used to hear of mediums taking trance of spirits of deities. And, I never heard of them having any training at all to be mediums or oracles. I never gave it much thought and after I grew up i thought it was all fake.
But after listening to Pastor Niral explain clearly about oracles and and the training and the taboos associated with the training, the pain of the tough training and witnessing the oracle in trance has converted me.
Even the explanation on the oracle’s robes as being elaborate and is an offering to Dorje Shugden. was new to me. Very detailed talk on the oracle and trance, from A – Z.

Anyone can become an oracle, however this person must understand that it is a lifetime commitment with the good motivation to serve others. All the necessary preparations such as training and retreat are important to open and stabilise the psychic channels. Most importantly, this person has to keep good samaya with the guru. With the strong guru devotion and more retreats that the oracle engages in, the more accurate for his prophecies during the trance.
