Amarbayasgalant Monastery is one of the largest monasteries in Mongolia. It was established by the Yongzheng Emperor in 1727 and completed at a later date by his successor, the Qianlong Emperor.
This ancient temple was dedicated to His Holiness the 1st Khalkha Jetsun Dhampa, the spiritual head of Tibetan Buddhism in Mongolia. Khalka Jetsun Dhampa was also the spiritual mentor to Emperor Kangxi of China. This video shows the culture of the monastery and its various activities.
