    I agree with your top five books. Compassion Conquers All is a great book to learn about the Eight Verses of Mind Transformation. These teachings can really shift a person’s life in the right direction!

    Namkar Barzin was a Mongolian Geshe who suffered a traumatic death and, in the period immediately after his death, was taunted by a group of kids. Anger arose in him at this humiliation, leading to his rebirth as an angry spirit who terrorised the local community. He was later subdued by the great Domo Geshe Rinpoche and installed in the entourage of Dorje Shugden to serve this enlightened Dharma Protector and accumulate merits by assisting others.

    It just goes to show the thoughts we habituate ourselves into during our lifetime are extremely important at time of our death. These thoughts create imprints in our mindstream that come to fruition at the moment of our death, to help determine if we take a positive or negative rebirth.
