Situated in Lhorong in Chamdo Prefecture, Tibet, Zetho Monastery also known as Zetho Lhundup Choedeng Monastery or Dzitho Gompa is the traditional seat of the Daknak lineage. The current incarnation, His Eminence the 13th Daknak Rinpoche Losang Yeshe Thinley Gyaltsen, is a renowned Dorje Shugden Lama and younger brother of His Eminence Kyabje Dagom Rinpoche.
Zetho Monastery is the largest in Lhorong and presently houses over 300 monks and a flourishing community of Dorje Shugden practitioners. Although Kyabje Daknak Rinpoche’s activities are focused mainly in Taiwan where his new monastery The Chinese Gandenpa Buddhist Centre is located, he regularly visits Zetho Monastery for religious activities and to bless the local populace.

Posted on July 15, 2016 #1 AuthorBeautiful monastery with a great lama. His Eminence the 13th Daknak Rinpoche Losang Yeshe Thinley Gyaltsen has been travelling and yet constantly finds time to come back to this monastery for work and to bless the local populace.
Love the photo of the unfurling of the giant thangka of Lama Tsongkhapa ceremony with all the monks in attendance. Would be great to witness such an event.
